1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of
MedinaHomestays.com (the “Site”) and any related services,
including the booking of stays with local host families in Medina (“Services”).

By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or making a booking, you (“you”
or the “Guest”, and where applicable “Host”)
agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or Services.

In these Terms, “MedinaHomestays”, “we”, “us”, or “our”
refers to the owner/operator of MedinaHomestays.com, which acts as a platform connecting Guests with Hosts.

2. Scope of our service

MedinaHomestays is a marketplace platform that allows Guests to discover and book homestays
with local families in and around Medina. We do not own, manage, or operate the listed properties.

Specifically:

• We provide online tools for Hosts to create listings and for Guests to request and confirm bookings.
• The accommodation contract is between the Guest and the Host, not between the Guest and MedinaHomestays.
• We may facilitate payments, messaging, and certain support services, but we are not a hotel, travel agency,
  or package tour operator.

While we aim to curate genuine and respectful experiences, MedinaHomestays cannot guarantee the behavior of any Guest or Host,
the accuracy of every listing, or that every experience will meet your expectations.

3. Eligibility & account registration

To use certain features of the Site (such as creating bookings or listings), you may need to create an account.

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under applicable law.
• You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.
• You agree not to create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms
or engaged in inappropriate, unsafe, or illegal behavior.

4. Bookings, payments & fees

4.1 Booking process

When you request to book a homestay, you are making an offer to the Host to stay at their property on the specified dates
and under the conditions shown on the listing (price, house rules, number of guests, etc.).

A booking is considered confirmed when you receive a written confirmation (for example, by email
or via your account dashboard). At that point, a direct agreement exists between you and the Host.

4.2 Prices and currency

• Prices are typically displayed per night or per stay and may include or exclude taxes and local charges.
• The currency shown on the Site is for your convenience. Your bank or payment provider may convert the amount
  to your local currency and charge additional fees.

4.3 Service fees

MedinaHomestays may charge a service fee to Guests and/or Hosts to cover platform, support,
and payment processing costs. Any applicable fees will be shown before you confirm your booking.

4.4 Payment processing

• Payments may be processed by us or by trusted third-party payment providers on our behalf.
• You authorize us and our payment partners to charge your selected payment method for the total cost of the booking
  (including fees and applicable taxes).
• If payment is declined or reversed, the booking may be automatically canceled.

5. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellation and refund terms may vary between listings. Each listing may specify a particular
cancellation policy (for example: flexible, moderate, strict).

• You are responsible for carefully reviewing the cancellation policy displayed on the listing before confirming a booking.
• If you cancel your booking, any refund will be determined according to the applicable cancellation policy and
  any service fees that are non-refundable.
• In rare cases (for example, safety concerns or property unavailability), the Host or MedinaHomestays may cancel a booking.
  In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to help you find similar alternative accommodation or arrange a refund,
  as appropriate.

Any additional rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws are not limited by this section.

6. Guest responsibilities

By booking a stay through MedinaHomestays, you agree to:

• Respect the house rules, check-in/check-out times, and any reasonable instructions given by your Host.
• Show appropriate adab (manners), modesty, and respect in line with local Islamic values and Saudi law.
• Use the property and its contents carefully and report any damage to your Host as soon as possible.
• Avoid behavior that is harassing, offensive, illegal, or disturbing to the Host, neighbors, or the wider community.
• Ensure all members of your group understand and follow these responsibilities.

You may be held financially responsible by the Host for damage, extra cleaning, or rule violations caused by you
or your accompanying guests.

7. Host responsibilities

Hosts are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, honest information in their listings, including photos, descriptions, availability, and pricing.
• Offering a clean, reasonably safe, and habitable environment that matches the description provided.
• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and local requirements, including any registration, zoning,
  or tax obligations that apply to hosting Guests.
• Treating Guests with respect, maintaining privacy, and honoring accepted bookings except in rare, justified circumstances.

MedinaHomestays encourages Hosts to reflect the values of Medina hospitality, including kindness, fairness, and integrity.

8. International travel & local compliance

Many Guests travel from outside Saudi Arabia to stay in Medina. You are solely responsible for:

• Obtaining and maintaining valid passports, visas, and any other travel authorizations.
• Complying with Saudi laws, immigration rules, and local regulations, including dress codes and conduct
  near religious sites.
• Ensuring that your stay and activities are permitted under your visa or entry conditions.

MedinaHomestays does not provide legal, immigration, or tax advice and cannot be held responsible for a Guest’s
failure to meet governmental requirements.

9. Prohibited activities

You agree not to use the Site or Services to:

• Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
• Post false, misleading, discriminatory, hateful, or harmful content.
• Organize parties or gatherings that disturb neighbors or conflict with local community standards.
• Engage in commercial activities or sub-let the property without the Host’s written consent.
• Attempt to circumvent the platform (for example, by avoiding payment through the Site after using it to connect with a Host).

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action (including account suspension or termination)
if we reasonably believe you have engaged in prohibited conduct.

10. Reviews & user content

Guests and Hosts may be able to leave reviews, ratings, photos, or other content (“User Content”)
on the Site.

• By submitting User Content, you grant MedinaHomestays a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license
  to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the Site and our marketing.
• You are solely responsible for the content you submit and confirm that you have the necessary rights to share it.
• We may remove or edit User Content that we believe is inappropriate, abusive, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.

11. Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and other content, is owned or licensed by MedinaHomestays
and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

• You may use the Site and Services only for personal, non-commercial purposes related to genuine travel and homestay bookings.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Site without our prior written consent.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

12.1 Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Site and Services are provided “as is” and
“as available”, without any warranties, whether express or implied.
MedinaHomestays does not warrant that:

• The Site will always be available, secure, or error-free;
• All listings are accurate, complete, or up to date; or
• Every Guest or Host will behave safely, respectfully, or in accordance with your expectations.

12.2 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedinaHomestays and its owners, directors, and team members shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill;
• Personal injury, property damage, or other harms arising from interactions between Guests and Hosts; or
• Any events or actions outside our reasonable control.

Where our liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the lower of (a) the total service fees you paid
to MedinaHomestays in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) the minimum amount
required under applicable law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MedinaHomestays, its owners, and team members from and against any claims,
damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Site or Services;
• Your interaction with Hosts, Guests, or third parties;
• Your breach of these Terms; or
• Your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements.
When we do, we will publish the updated version on the Site and adjust the “Last updated” date.

If you continue to use the Site or Services after changes take effect, you will be deemed to have accepted the updated Terms.
